RDF Combustion

RDF, an acronym for Refuse Derived Fuel, is produced from household and industrial waste, including biodegradable material as well as plastics.

Today the energy valuation of waste, or what is known as Waste-to-Energy (WtE) by means of combustion, is a fundamental part of the circular economy that makes energy savings possible and avoids dumping in already oversaturated dumps.

In addition, it is possible to burn other solid waste from human activities:

Grade B wood

Grade C wood

Sewage sludge

Industrial sludge

Animal remains

Meat and bone meal

For these types of fuel, Sugimat has developed the following combustion technologies:

Pusher or reciprocating grate

Fluid bed

Underfeed stocker
