On 7th April last, our UK distributor, Tidy Planet, together with Turboden, explained what decentralised waste to energy plants consist of.
In Europe, this solution has started to be implented due to the inherent savings in waste transport and the social protest against large incineration plants.
Decentralised waste to energy systems consist of small and medium scale waste recovery, usually on the waste manager’s own facilities.
Our proposal is based on plants capable of incinerating 1 to 5 tonnes of RDF per hour. Thanks to the energy released during the combustion of the RDF and through a thermal oil boiler, electricity and heat are generated in an ORC turbine.
In this way, the urban waste is converted into a local resource that can be valorised for the benefit of the community.
