Sugimat has evaluated its participation at LIGNA 2019, the international fair of reference for the wood industry and closes its participation with a remarkable success. During the event, held in Hannover (Germany) from 27th to 31st May, Sugimat offered personalised advice to the numerous visitors who came to its stand. In addition, it has offered a conference about Computer Vision, its innovative control system which processes the images of the furnace in real time. The number of visitors coming to the booth, as well those attending the conference, has exceeded all expectations and there was a notable increase over the previous edition.
One more year Sugimat has been present at the leading fair of wood machinery and industrial processing to present its product portfolio and its innovative control system for combustion of biomass. This year, the event registered more than 90,000 visitors from 100 different countries, similar data to the last edition. These figures not only consolidate LIGNA as the leading trade fair for the wood industry, but have also led to an increase in the number of visitors coming to the Sugimat stand to request information on the manufacture of industrial biomass heaters. „The success of the event indicates the enormous interest that the sector is registering towards avant-garde applications and the latest technology in the area of forestry and wood“, has said Alex Mas, Business Development Director of Sugimat.
In addition, we must add the success of Sugimat’s conference about Computer Vision, which has counted with around 40 visitors. Mas has highlighted that this innovative technological system, designed by the company’s R+D department, allows analysing the evolution of biomass combustion inside the furnace and acting on it by pusher grate or combustion fans. With this technology, combustion can be kept in the optimum position on the grate and thus prevent the fuel from leaving the furnace without having been completely consumed, which is a common cause of failure in this type of system,“ he said.
During the five days of the event, 1,500 exhibitors from 50 countries, mainly from Germany, Italy, Austria, Spain, Turkey, Denmark, China, Sweden, Switzerland and the Netherlands, met in Hanover to showcase advanced solutions and the latest technology in the field of forestry and wood. All this on an area of 130,000 square meters.
